Thursday, August 7. 2008NYC Dover Strait Update August 6, 2008A good crew for this work today. All pics for this section by Kirk Warner.  Named Again! Bob Kutella starts the glamour work of actually restoring the name to the car after over 40 years absence.  Stripe - Sanding and Masking Meanwhile John Faulhaber and Gene Mackowiak laboriously mask and prepare the upper leterboard for a new stripe.  Paint and Peel John Faulhaber peels the masking as fast as Bob Kutella can apply the paint.  Big Improvement - More to Come At the end of the day the light is fading, but the results speak for themselves! Thursday, August 7. 2008Woodshop Update August 6, 2008 IT 101 Here we see Henry Vincent hard at work applying masking for two new doors for Illinois Terminal 101. By the end of the day Pete Galayda will have applied the trademark IT Green to the bottom half of these doors. |
