Norm Krentel holds a handful of removed parts form the original rotted baggage doors for the 28, while Ray Schmid wrestles to change the blade setup on our table saw.
Mortising
In this view, our 83 year old mortising machine has just plunged several square holes into the bottom rail of the new doors. Ray helped a lot on this, and Norm had to stop by to inspect the work.
Work has begun in earnest to create two new replacement baggage doors for the ME 28. Materials have been secured and here is a shot of Victor Humphreys demonstrating the use of the table mounted router, to start the milling and shaping process for the various pieces.
