Wednesday, May 13. 2009North Shore 749 Update May 10, 2009 Needle Chipping I thought I would add a category for this project, especially since so much work has been done and continues to be done. Maybe others will post some pics and comments to give us a review of recent work. BUT - - in spring a young man's fancy turns to - PAINT! Here Charlie Strong is making good progress removing the old deteriorated paint from one side of the 749. Sad in a way since it was last applied by the North Shore Line over 40 years ago, and most of the rest of this car has seen restoration and refinishing work. Part of the original is consigned to dust and a new day coming! |
