Then and Now - URTX 26640

1973!

First, the THEN photo of this car in January 1973. An old slide image, the colors have shifted, but what history is in this photo.

2009!

And the NOW photo, 36 years later. This shows how important it is to save these cars, even if no immediate plans can be made for restoration. And of course for funding - which brings up the fact that we could really use some donations to finish and save this volunteer work.

Sizing Posts

Tim Peters, Buzz Morissette, and Victor Humphreys are working on the table saw. They are cutting extra material away preparing new stock for corner posts for the CRT 1268.

Here is an end view giving an idea of the final cross section of the new posts for the 1268.

Boxcar Parts

And progress continues to paint and finish more new siding and wood parts for the URTX 26640 project.
