Following his great success in making a new sash for the CA&E 409 signbox, Rich Witt has been requested to fabricate another one for the other end of the car. Here the rough wood is being sized and prepped.
College days are here again as John Nelligan sets up an engineering office to further de code the mysteries of the controls and wiring for Charles City 300.
Finally we were able to switch gears and begin making four new cupola windows for our Illinois Central 9792 caboose.
Other work included efforts toward the re-upholstery of seats for TM 972, and we saw Charlie Strong stop in, working on the dozen new CA&E windows that the woodshop completed last week.
For every clear day with decent weather, Victor Humphreys is up on the roof, today rolling out black paint. No, he did not grow a mustache overnight. Blame it on the photograper who perhaps pressed the shutter button at the wrong instant.
