Monday, October 10. 2011CTS 4223 Update - October 5-8, 2011This car continues to see a lot of work done by a variety of volunteers. I was not able to record all the facets but here are some views that I caught.  Front Sign Box Lorne Tweed adds primer and paint to the inside of the front sign box and adjacent areas. This work may seem to be out of sequence but can only easily be done before glass is installed.  Front Dash The same logic applies to the front dash and front windshield areas. With the glass installed it will be very difficult to reach and paint the details. Lorne is painting near the right front corner on the inside of the car.  Rear Windows WOW! Dan Fenlaciki and Eric Lorenz installed glass in the rear windows. Large picture window style, these make a big impact in the appearance. It looks simple but it is not. And there are many steps from preparing the openings, to cutting the safety glass, to obtaining the specialized rubber gasketing material and special tools to do the installation. |
