Roger, thanks for the bit of news on this beautiful car! I've been thinking about volunteering to work on this car for a while, but wasn't sure if there was any active work going on. I Googled Statco Generator, but all I could find was Cummins-Onan diesel generators. What type of generator are these? I would assume they're the same as are currently used on some private cars when HEP isn't available. It would be great to see/hear a proper generator operating under a car at IRM instead of something cheap and noisy you buy at Home Depot. Keep up the great work, and I'll try to stop by sometime!

Roger, so glad to see the work being done on "Galt House"! This really brings back memories of late night cleanings and very hot cooking weekends in the kitchen - but all very fun and full of fond memories! Wish I could still work on 2726.

Thanks for your thoughts, Louis. The last time we served food in the 2726 was 1995. Remeber all those juicy cheese burgers!! The museum must purchase and install a 30-40kw generator to power the elecric and A/C demand before we can again use the diner. Roger Kramer
