Nigel I very much appreciate these updates. I've been waiting for years for the 1630 to return to service. Looks like maybe another year or two..hopefully. Good luck and I appreciate all the work the volunteers there do. Rob

Robert, Thank you for the note. I am glad that you and others find these updates interesting. That makes it worth doing them. The amount of work required to overhaul a significant steam locomotive is huge for a purely volunteer group. That has at times led to a perception that nothing happens in the steam shop. Hopefully this gives a perspective on the amount of work that is actually going on. Everyone involved is hoping that she will run next year. As noted this week a big factor will be the FRA inspection that we are now scheduling. That will determine if we can proceed to reassembly or have other work to do first. Nigel
