Do you have a department that would keep record / newspaper clippings from June 1865? I am researching Barbara Lamm who died on the train tracks in Marengo, Ill, when a train reversed directions. Thank you REPLY: Neither of our two reference libraries have original source material going back nearly 150 years. There is some material such as old photos which MIGHT be found in previously published books which are in the collection, but I do not think much of anything for what you are researching. Bob Kutella

I checked the online database of articles for the Chicago Tribune and could find no indexed mention of this accident. It's possible though that the indexer just missed it. Do you have a more accurate date than just June? That's a lot of newspapers to look through... Steve Gibson
