i like the progress. but this question still hasn't left my mind since my recent visit to the shop. once the shay, 1630, and 428 leave the shop for the mainline, what will the steam team work on next? restoring other engines for operational/cosmetic show? (examples: Tuskegee 101, ComEd 5, GN&A 26, US Navy 4, RI 938, T&D 16, CBQ 637, L&A 99, GTW 8380, ICRR 201, ), obtain a new piece of equipment? i would really like to know.

one thing that would be kinda fun would be to have a wisconsin mainline excursion with 428 and mid continents CNW 1385 double heading each other. because i remember one of the guys in the steam shop saying that the 428 is the most likely of the other engines to do off campus excursions. lets just see what the FRA has to say on their next inspection visit.

I've heard rumors that the museum is trying to get another GTW 0-8-0. Is this true?
