The Sunday crew has gotten the stoker motor for 1630 almost completely disassembled and tagged. So far, the bearing surfaces look very good, though we have yet to pull the crosshead guides as we are awaiting the proper tool to disconnect the crossheads from the piston rods. The motor needs a thorough cleaning and new lubrication, but so far we haven't found any real issues.

How goes progress on the 1630? I was thinking of coming out (from Pennsylvania) to see her Memorial Day Weekend id she'll be running.

Dave, A long day today but #1630 is complete and ready to be coaled and watered tomorrow. Unless anything unexpected shows up in the steam testing in the next couple of days we expect to run Memorial Day weekend. Nigel
