Folks,
I think the addition of the Coronet #9 to the collection makes 30 steam locomotives. A tie with the Museum of Transport for the largest number of steamers at an American museum. Nice work folks!

I believe we have 27, with the recent deaccession of "Cletus" (Lee Tidewater Cyprus 2-6-0 #18). I know a few of the engines aren't on the online roster.
It did operate for a while up into the early 90's (I think), but restoration has stalled. and with Shay 5, 428, and 1630, it's not going to operate for some time.
It needs a lot of work and is currently not in the shop at this time. The 3 engines that we are either restoring or maintaining are 1630, 428, and Shay 5 at this time. Maybe further along the line it will be re-evaluated and considered.
