We have Comcast in Addison. See about getting it for us, too. Sounds great!!!

We're working on it Art! When requesting a time slot, we have a higher priority at our "home" studio. Our home studio, where our show broadcasts from, is Skokie - and it was still a 6 month wait. We are on the waiting list for the others.

Wow, what a fantastic concept for increasing the museum's presence in the region, and for communicating its purpose and mission. It will sure be interesting to see how much of an impact this has on visitor attendance, ridership and perhaps even the cultivation of new members!

Thanks Marcus. We have been working on getting this project "on track" (sorry about that one) for over a year now. It's great to finally see it happening. I agree - anything we can do to expand positive exposure of the museum will help in the long run.

when will you put season 1 ( if there is a season 1) on youtube?
#5 Eric Chapman on 2010-04-09 19:24
Eric, thanks for your interest! Since the shows are going to come out monthly, we won't have traditional "seasons" as you would on network TV. I am able to have a show homepage on Ustream and they have no restrictions on length/size of the shows, plus the possibility of doing live shoots, so that is the platform I have chosen to concentrate on. The first show is already there, but there is no sound (still working on that). I have not ruled out YouTube, but they do have limitations on length/size of videos. I am also currently working with the webmaster to have the videos available directly from the IRM site.

I have pretty much given up on Ustream. They look fine via broadcast. I am currently working with the IRM webmaster to make the shows available directly on the IRM website. Stay tuned (sorry, couldn't resist).
