The team on the CCW 300 has done a magnificent job on the loco so far, and it is a stunning display piece right now. They are working diligently on electrical and control systems, unfortunately that is mostly hidden from view, so hard to judge progress in a visual way. The locomotive ran on 1200 volts DC when out in Iowa, so careful work is needed to see how it will work or not work on our nominal 600 volts. The 1200 volt air compressor motor is one stumbling block.
