For the B&O box car, in the picture there is 2 patches that are being held to gether with bolts. Are you planning to rivet where the holes are?

Yes. The process is to fit the new steel plates and hold them there with heavy bolts. That maintains alignment for welding the plates in. Then the final fasteners are added as the last step. We have completed several such fixes on the north side and I can show them to you, I bet you will not guess where the work was done. Bob Kutella
