Dear Sirs
I am a director of a British based steam locomotive, Kinlet Hall, and we are currently looking through our stock of bits and pieces accumulated over the years. Amongst these we have six mechanical lubricators which I believe came from Commonwealth country locomotives and I wondered if they might be of interest to you or to any other organisation that you might know about.
The details of these, as cast in the housing, are as follows;
TYPE FSA/3
MECHANICAL LUBRICATOR
DAVIES AND METCALFE LTD
ROMILEY ENGLAND
They are dated 1932, in excellent condition and clearly quite rare.
I know this is a long shot that you might be interested but there must be someone somewhere who would welcome the opportunity to purchase these.
Please feel free to forward this email to anyone you feel may be interested.
Thank you for your time
Regards
Roger Hammond
Roger,
Thanks for thinking of us. As discussed by phone, I would hate to see these lost but it sounds as if you now have a more likely home than us.
UK equipment is very rare in the US and these are probably more relevant to British Empire countries.

Hi, I am President of the Friends of the Railroad in Victor, NY. We have been made aware of a locomotive bell which is available for purchase from an estate here in town. It is a large, heavy brass casting with a mount. We think it is from an Illinois Central locomotive, as it has markings "ICRR 04074" cast in the top. I have a few pictures, if that would help. The estate will sell this in the next few weeks. Please let me know as soon as you can if you are interested or not. Thank you.
I understand that it is hard to answer this question, but is all that needs to be finished on the 428 is running gear related? Cause you know as well as I do that time is of the essence since steam has gone through the tubes and the clock is now ticking. That being said I'm wondering if that after the 1630 is finished and to the crews liking, will there be a "mad" push to get the 428 done? Thank you for your time and hard work!
