Alan,
It currently looks as if it would be Saturday and Sunday. We are having difficulty finding a qualified crew for Monday so that is in doubt.

Hi Nigel,
With 1630 about to be back on the road, are any "visiting" locomotives-Leviathan and/or any or the Gramling's tank engines-scheduled to return to the museum?
Also, I would like to thank you for providing us the very informative updates on the progress in the steam shop over these last several years. Please keep them going when the next project starts.
Take care!
Nathan
1630 looks gorgeous and many thanks to the volunteers who made it possible.
Is the cab roof red/brown?
What do you do about the act that gauge is 5 ft but rails are 4ft8.5?
Next project would be Ford Museum loco?
Robert,
Cab roof is now black.
The adjustment to gauge was done by Baldwin back in 1917/18. If you look closely at her, the tender and track wheels are normal, having been replaced by standard 4 ft 8 units. The drivers have extra wide tires that extend about 2 inches behind the wheel castings. So she runs on the back part of the tires ( and has successfully done so for near 100 years.
