The pipe itself is still intact and sound. A fitting was rotted out and we had to pull the whole pipe up to that point to get to it. The only anchor points on that section of pipe are at the angle cock and on the other side of the T. I doubt that pipe had been apart since it left the Rocket House some 40+ years ago. I would have been under the car, but Phil and I agreed I would get better leverage on the fitting from the outside. Out of sight behind me is a fire extinguisher, safety first.
