I have been a big fan of the museum for the last 25 years even though I live in MA. I wish to relay the following information to the passenger car department and the Museum in general. Although it might already be known to you already.
About 4 months ago, the National Park Service created a new National Historical Site where the Pullman factory is, as well as the community of "Pullman".
The Site is still in it's planning stage as to how to best tell the "Pullman" story and how to present the facility to the general public in regards to displays, artifacts, and other factors.
With the museum being only about 2 hours away from their location as well as the vast collection of equipment, blueprints, data and other related materials in your possession, the museum should introduce themselves to the new N.H.S. in Pullman. This action could be beneficial for both the museum and improving the site for the public.
Although the site is so new that they still have not entirely completed the website for it, but that could change over time.
The best way to see the "Pullman" site is the same way one gets information on any and all of the parks and/or historical sites, trails and seashores across the country.
Type in NPS.GOV then click onto the "Find a Park" block in the upper left top corner, then click on the state of Illinois on the map, and then finally scroll through the sites until you find the "Pullman National Historical Site"
The future potential for this site is high, I hope the museum chooses to help them if asked.

Hello Ted I had gotten the floor plan of the "Harvard" about 10 years ago. That's how long I have been interested in the sleeper. And Yes.. the library has a treasure trove of information on the "heavies." Roger
