Nigel, Pleased to hear continued progress on the Shay. That said-maybe it is a bit premature to ask this-when/how often does the steam crew plan on running it when it returns to operation? I am guessing at least on special event days (if so, which specific events would be prime to see it run?) since the last time I caught a ride on the Shay was on Member's Day 1997. I am one to come to the museum only on special events and hence my question.

Nathan, Definitely premature. As I said, timing will depend heavily on funding so we cannot make plans at this time. Undoubtedly running dates will be advertised on the IRM web site as they become clearer. Nigel

428: judging by the size of the project and the ever changing FRA rules, my best guess is between 2017-2018
