Hello Bob Yes, plans have been made and we are now starting to work on the restoration of the 2524. Watch for my blog entry in the coming weeks. Thanks Roger
Great work by everyone in the passenger car group restoring these cars. I will be very interested in seeing the progress this coming Wednesday when I visit the museum.
Just to help those of us following along at home, this car is not the canary yellow car that came from Iowa, right? I believe that one was 2612? You guys are so productive that it's hard to keep up. Great work!
Be sure to keep us posted on the Mt. Harvard. Any news on the Floyd River?
Thanks.
You are correct. This is the 2602 which IRM has had since May of 1983. The interior was looking at bit rough. The interior paint is a GREAT improvement.
I was able to see the work on the interior of the 2602 and it look very nice. I was also able to see work moving forward on the 2524 with many of the Windows now removed. Keep up the great work!
Hello Bob As I have stated before the restoration of the 2524 is well underway. We have already re moved all the seat cushions and backs and now have remove about 41 of the 50 window frames. Next big job is to begin to repair the ceiling and begin sandblasting the interior. We will certainly need donations for this project! Please send then to the Restrict fund RI 2524. Thanks Roger
