Does the museum still own any right of way to the east of the end of the mainline which would allow the railroad to be extended eastward at some future date?
Does the museum own any land west of Olson road other than the current right of way?
Keep up the good work.
A few years ago I heard of a plan to bridge the river in cooperation with the county. Have either IRM or the county applied for stimulus funding for this, or is it still dormant?
Congrats to the IRM. I am from close by South Bend, Indiana and follow the museums workings closely (well as much as I can through internet). Everyone at the museum should be proud of the work that they do and the personal sacrafice they make to save railroad history.
