For now we have no option except to place it in storage, and that has been agreed to by the donor. Assembled, it occupies about 8 feet by 18 feet and is modular to some extent so could be expanded in the future. The simple track plan is actually quite good for continuous running as a display. When we construct a permanent entrance building or perhaps have space in a Main Street building it will be ready to go. But there will need to be support from our friends and members to maintain and staff it, even if limited hours. Count me IN!!! Bob Kutella

Perhaps this layout could be assembled and displayed in the Schroeder store, at least until a permanent use for that building is decided upon.

The Schroeder store is already planned as a store by the end of the year. It has been storage for a variety of things for a long time, and Dave Diamond is making great progress on bringing it back to life this season.

I know this has nothing to do with the Wood Shop or any other entry, so forgive me, as I know not where to put this. Does the museum or any of the signal guys have any need for older style crossings and/or signals? BNSF is replacing crossings and signals and has a huge cache of older stuff piled up in Earlville, IL. Along the same line, BNSF is gradually replacing CB&Q-era signal bridges along the line. Would that be something the Museum would seek to add to the collection?
