Difficult question, to which the only answer at present is - we hope so !. The core issue was that various valves had become seized to their seats during the period out of service which meant that the pump did not operate correctly during the last steam test. The valves were removed, cleaned, lapped and the pump proved to operate on air. But, as we were not able to steam in 2011, it could not be completely tested. Correct operation of a cross compound air pump can only be demonstrated with a good supply of high pressure steam. We hope that all is now well but the acid test will be when we can steam again.
