will the layout (when it is finished) feature HO scale replica's of your equipment?

There are some available models on the market that are close to some of the pieces in our collection. Surely they will find their way for a visit. For now, the first thing to focus on is funding for the building. Pass the word. Bob Kutella

If possible, I want to find the matching emgines, rolling stock, and structures to your liking and add them to the layout. Also, I know it wasn't just the CNW that ran on the current layout. Make sure you send me a list of what items to find and I will go hunting for them. (flashrocket9@gmail.com)

I know of someone who had a model of C&NW 9933 that is who's looking forward to running it when the layout is ready.

Right now it sits directly east of Barn 9 on the tracks we refer to as the 'steam leads'. Hard to say where it might be as time goes by. But something will have to be moved or relocated as other operations and special events come to pass during the season. One thing for sure - it is hard to miss!! Bob Kutella

Hi, I saw this model railroad project on here and i would love to volunteer. I have been involved in model trains since i was 3, with some O scale and mostly HO scale. I have good knowledge of this hobby considering that im 19 currently. What can i do to help volunteer specifically for this project? I can travel from Chicago where i live to help out. Email me please, i have much to contribute. I am a member of the Museum and again, would love to help out. Regards, Fvd

Thanks for your offer to help. At this point in the project - fundraising - is the biggest hurdle. We are asking for donations and also engaged in other fundraising activity including selling some surplus model railroad equipment at flea markets, meets, and auctions. Bob Kutella

How much money has been raised for this project so far, and how much more is needed to break ground? The Model RR Blg. will be a big draw for the museum. The IRM board should be making funds available for this project. Why won't they?
