When you finish the russell plow I have two more I can send you for work , We need to use them the rest of the winter but I can have them headed your way come spring.
You are doing a thourough job on , I wish we had the time and the people to do the same

Thank you Randy. Your comments go a long way to validating the project and recognizing the efforts of the crew. NOT ME, the crew. We had a plan and have followed that. To do outside work during the summer, and use the winter to work indoors to make the new windows and doors, new millwork in the shops. The plow is 'about' halfway there, overall.
Our dream is to raise enough money to have it housed in the next Barn and it is ACHIEVABLE. Anyone wanting to help preserve the equipment and all the resources invested - donations to fund RX38. Thanks

Bob, re your camera. You said that you use the camera basically as a "point and shoot". However, you also said you have the ability to change the shutter speed. Based on that I'll ask this: do you have manual focus and/or lens opening features? If not, and since you've done just about everything else one can do my friends and I have concurred that it's probably time for a new camera. Sorry to sound so stupid, but short of actually having it in our hands, it's the only thing we can come up with.

Seriously, though, since you've checked everything else you may still want to check with a camera repair facility. I don't know if anyone can work on digitals they same way they can work on film cameras but it might be worth looking into. Also, I agree with the gentleman that said regardless, keep taking the pics. What would we have without them??
There is some ability to set aperture and shutter speed by accessing and dancing through several layers of menus. So, I tried that. Canon says there is no repair facility for their cameras in the entire Chicago area. I bit the bullet and ordered a new camera and am sending it back. It was not as represented and among other things does not include a USER GUIDE. HUH??? It also has no viewfinder and when I asked tech service about the fade in the screen on the back in sunlight, their answer was to TURN AROUND. So I guess the new model cameras include a lifetime membership in the BACKLIT SOCIETY OF AMERICA. Yes, I am getting very frustrated.

Bob, I give you an A+ for effort and dedication with your posts and posting of photographs. Your department and the Steam Department seem to be practically the only two departments interested in keeping the public informed as to what is happening and going on. My schedule is very busy right now, but not to worry, I will be back down to work in the shop.
