Just curious...when I google myself I see comments I made here. What Causes that? Also, will the Barn 9 webcam be up and running next season? Lastly, as a stay at home IRM "geek", I've really enjoyed watching all the progress everyone there has made on the cars and other equipment. The talents of the volunteers truly amazes me. I hope you can indeed keep up the good work.
Google tracks blog comments as one measure of social interaction. Because the IRM website is spidered frequently and has high pagerank, links to the site such as comments are also highly rated in organic search results. That's my guess on why your comments are found in search results for your name. Since your full name is not seen on this post, I can't Google your name to see if I would get the same results. It is possible that you are the only one who can get those search results.

The steam department has been awful quiet lately. I think we're about due for an update from the steam department. What do you guys think?
(An update from the diesel department would also be nice, like getting progress reports on M-35, 33C, CNW 1518, etc).
While a steam department blog update is supposed to be coming soon (the person who posts steam department blogs wears many hats and can be very busy), may I suggest you go to the IRM Steam Team Facebook page for the most recent updates. There is usually a post at least once a week, and yes, non-Facebook users can read the posts. Sometimes posting on this blog takes a backseat to actually working on the equipment. The diesel shop, for example, is currently hard at work on the C&NW bi-levels and 411 getting them ready for the Happy Holidays trains, taking the time to write a blog update takes away from the time available to work on the cars and locomotive.
