The exterior is looking wonderful. What is the condition of the interior and does th a/c work as this is a sealed window car?

Hello Kirk First the interior needs a complete redo painting and floor repaired. Second we have never tested the A/C because the museum has never spend the money to install three phase 100amp 240 service. That's what it need to ran the genamoter to start the A/C. Have you ever noticed why we never have run A/C equipment. That's the reason. Roger

@ Roger, how much would it cost to get this 10oamp 240 service? Because I think that would be a worth-while investment if the museum installed it.

Hi Matt We estimate the costs for installing 100 amp 240 volt stand by service would be between $2500 to $3000. Our shop is now designated area of barn 10. That is where we should install it. If you would like to pay for it just make your donation for barn 10 100 amp stand by service. Thanks Roger

Does that mean that Barn 10 is the designated "Coach Yard"?

My understanding is that when IC painted equipment in the orange and brown that yellow went on firsat as the primer coat followed by orange and brown. Doing so this way gives the orange more 'pop' as it is painted over yellow and not brown. Since you've got most of this car already painted now too late to give it yellow as the first color. Please keep this in mind should there be other IC cars in this paint scheme for IRM to restore.

Thanks Bob Thanks for your input. We are all volunteers and not a paid rr staff. We do what we can.

Great to see this car being restored. Living in Fla, it's difficult to visit as often as I'd like to. Looking forward to seeing it in IC colors on my next visit. Terrific job!
