Not so simple as it might seem. It has long been a dream to get a dome car for IRM. This is basically the car body and needs work to the exterior and interior. That includes finding and buying a pair of the correct trucks. So consider it a "PROJECT" and I doubt it would be able to run in train service anytime in 2011.

I saw the "Silver Pony" pass thru Berwyn, Ill., this morning at 09.35 am. It was the second car on a freight heading into the Cicero yard as best as I could tell. This sighting was at Oak park ave. and the Burlington tracks. Just thought you would like to know.

I saw this car 'Silver Pony' leaving the Phoenix area and didn't realize until later what I had seen. Then too late to get a photo. Dumb me! Glad it is safe now.
