IRM Webcam Information
The Illinois Railway Museum is pleased to present four webcams, and a webcam overlooking our CTC display board. The Spaulding Tower webcam is facing East overlooking the station tracks and mainline. the Car Line/Barn 9 webcam is facing North overlooking yard 9 and the car line towards the Central Pavillion. The Mainline webcam is facing West overlooking yard 2 and the station tracks. The Car Line Junction webcam is mainly used by the dispatchers to make sure the electric switch is clear before remotely operating it via CTC control board. We have added a delayed feed for that camera as well.
Your browser must be fairly recent, and javascript is required and must be enabled. We now have
two frame rate settings to choose from, an 8 second refresh interval and a 2 second refresh
interval. The 2 second refresh should only be used on broadband connections of 128kbps or
faster. The 8 second interval appears to be reliable down to 28kbps. The default is 8s/f,
to view the higher frame rate, click the 2s/f link on the top right of the webcam page.
