We had some help on Wednesday despite it being the day before a holiday so parts were being processed to manufacture five new windows for the coach department to be used in B&M 1094. We arrived last Wednesday and the last of the hand painted lettering was done!  This Way, Folks Pete Galayda must been sneaking out to work on the car when no one was looking. But the car body is now nearly done and looking better than it has for the last FIFTY YEARS. Good work Pete, and the hard working crew of helpers. Tuesday, November 24. 2009We Do Want This Car Update - 11-22-2009No I did not transpose two words in the title of this post.  CNW 284 At the November Board meeting the potential acquisition of this car was APPROVED! Many of you have pledged donations to support the project, and now is the time to send those in to fund designated R 284. We are counting on you. The CNWHS (historical society) is stepping forward and backing this project. THANKS!! Nick Kallas has a handshake agreement from Mr. Lou Lawrence of Lawrence Foods that the car is ours. So, as soon as funds are on hand, we can proceed with spending commitments to get this car to Union. And of course the rest of you faithful readers are not excluded - please help with this. |
