Since the Wagner Loop was not complete by the 2015 calendar deadline, we could not commit to an operating schedule for this season. But now the loop is up!! We have an excellent working relationship with the new head of the DC Line Department and are extremely pleased to have been working closely with him on testing and getting the bugs ironed out. We all agree that it is good to go!! This allows us to be able to announce some upcoming operating days.
Saturday, June 20 is the 50th Anniversary of the end of trolley bus service in Milwaukee. To commemorate this, we will be operating Milwaukee Marmon 441 all day. We will also be operating on Saturday July 04, Saturday September 05 (Labor Day weekend), and Saturday September 19 (Member's Day). Specific equipment on those days is still to be determined. We plan on spending the majority of this season focusing on inspections & minor repairs that had to be postponed while our overhead power was disconnected during loop construction, but will keep you updated as to changes/updates to the above operating schedule as the season progresses. We anticipate publishing an operating schedule on the 2016 calendar.
I'd like to thank everyone who has shown patience and support during the past several difficult years. We truly appreciate it!! Looking forward, we couldn't be more excited for what the future holds. THANK YOU!!!!
