Truck Work

Truck work has started and here we see John Baletto needlechipping the years of grunge and failed paint off of one of the truck sideframes.  Just think - if you volunteer we can teach YOU to do this work!

1973!

First, the THEN photo of this car in January 1973.  An old slide image, the colors have shifted, but what history is in this photo.

2009!

And the NOW photo, 36 years later.  This shows how important it is to save these cars, even if no immediate plans can be made for restoration.  And of course for funding - which brings up the fact that we could really use some donations to finish and save this volunteer work.

New Siding

A rainy day so no new work outdoors on the car, but the crew spent productive time in our woodshop milling 25 new pieces of car siding for the next steps on the car.

Sawdust Phase Done

Victor Humphreys begins priming and painting the new siding, as well as two larger timbers cut to replace the fascia on the car side at the top, under the roof edge.
