Tuesday, September 8. 2009UTLX 17222 Update September 5-6, 2009This weekend marked a MAJOR milestone in the restoration efforts on this historic tank car. Using an outside contractor AND our own volunteers we were at last able to get a good paint job on the car. Scroll down to see the work in progress and the results.  Dome Rudy has started to spray the tank dome.  . Jose has taken over on the north side of the car.  .  .  .  . Done in the Sun  Cleaning Up Sunday morning the car was moved to track 40. Thanks to the coach department for allowing us squatters rights in the east end of Barn 3 for this adventure. Kirk Warner and John Baletto peel away the masking.  Sticky Tape It is a good thing we worked to remove all the masking quickly as the tape adhesive was not 'friendly'. John Baletto, Victor Humphreys and Bob Kutella pick away at the stubborn bits.  Finished It is FINISHED! How good is that? |
