Passenger Car Department

                                             My Thanks goes out to a couple of new volunteers to the Rock Island 2612 restoration project.   Meet Dave Cook  and Ray  Erickson.  They have been longtime members but have recently decided to help the cause.                                                                   Now, this report covers my last couple of trips working  on the coach.    As you will see in the following views I am now not the only person working on the car.   This last Wednesday there were five people working in the coach.!  We all had fun and came home tired.                                                                                This coming Wed, June 26, we will again be hard at work preparing the 2612 for late Summer service.     Won't  you join the crew?   The more  folks that come out and help the more progress can be shown in one day.   It's amazing how much was accomplished  last Wednesday!!    Remember to bring out your lunch and plenty of water.   Please  wear work clothes.      Please........No suites or ties!!!!        This is a very casual "party"     Please meet in back of barn 3 around 11 am.     See you then.    Thanks again to those who are helping on this project.           Roger  Kramer
