We have less than three weeks before the Thomas event to repaint the peeling areas and clean the 2602 coach. Please come out and help! Hopefully, more volunteers will be lending a hand to complete the upgrade. To be specific we need the following support. First, we would like anyone who can use an electric wheel wire to remove the small leftover paint pieces on the wall, next we need a few people who can use electric sanders to smooth the surface, and lastly a few folks to use masking tap and paper to cover the areas not needing paint. BTY, I and the coach department have all the materials needed to make your job easier. YOU just have to show up!! Wednesday, is a good day for many people but I will also be at the museum this coming Thursday. Stop by in back of barn 3 and I will be happy to show you the project. Here is what has been so far accomplished. Not shown in these pictures is the work of Andy Townsend. He has been sanding the old paint off of the window posts. Thanks to Mark, Austin, Andy, Dave, Mary and Brian for all your help. We have less than three weeks to get the 2602 back into shape for Thomas. Just volunteering for one day can make a BIG difference.
It will be a kool week so please consider coming out and helping on the 2602. You will enjoy the rewarding experience. Thanks Roger
