Tuesday, September 8. 2015Barn 14 almost completely builtThis time tomorrow, September 9, 2015, the construction on barn 14 should be almost complete. Here are more conclusive photos of the construction.  A scissor lift and crew installing more support rods for every column and truss  The missing skin on the southern side.  The skin has yet to be installed on the western end of barn 14  The western end view of barn 14  The skin is almost all installed. Here the crew is working on the north east corner Showcase Weekend is coming up on Sept 19 and 20 at Irm. Among the events will be the night time train operations. This is a great chance to see some of your favorite pieces operating at night. They look altogether different with interiors lite up and running down our rail with the headlight glowing in the darkness. This should be an exceptional event this year! Please don't miss it! You can also take this opportunity to visit the two new barns [13,14] being constructed! See you in the middle of September! Thanks Roger |
