Chicago Transit Authority 2243-2244 arrive

The CTA 2243 arrived yesterday on the 10th. CTA 2244,the other half of the pair was trucked today from Skokie. Here we see 2244 be switched after being unloaded from the truck. There will be more to come in future posts.

Chicago & Milwaukee Electric Railway Company 354

The C&ME 354 operated today on the carline for some testing. Here we see 354 on track 41 west after changing ends. I think this is the first time I've seen this car operate at IRM, although it has been used some time in the past.

Rio 1889 open car arrives

The Rio 1889 open car arrived on a flatbed around 5pm on June 12th. Unloading took about an hour. The car is currently in rough shape, but will make a good restoration project in the future. Additional info will be posted soon.

7009 number boards look good. Is there a way to turn a locomotive around at IRM? In case you ever had a mind to connect 7009 and 6847?
