Thursday, June 26. 2008Woodshop Update June 25, 2008 This Fay and Egan jointer dates to 1900 Victor Humphreys and Kirk Warner use our jointer to create new slabbing for our UTLX 17222 tankcar. We hope to have this completely repainted later this summer.  A lot of elements to get a new machine running John Nelligan and John Faulhaber work on cleaning the newly welded frame for our our 1878 molder. Mostly in primer by the end of the day.  Blacksmith Department George Clark and Gerry Detloff are working on reshaping commercial clevises to be used to anchor the truss rods on the Lake Shore Electric 810 project. Thursday, June 26. 2008CA&E Collection Maintenance June 25, 2008 Hard to Reach in the Back One of our CA&E wood cars was on the pit in Barn 4 just outside the woodshop. Here we catch Randall Hicks doing maintenance work and inspections, in this case on the controller segments. Wednesday, June 25. 2008Electroliner Update June 21-22, 2008June 21, 2008  On Track 41 Who could walk by the Electroliner, sparkling clean, out sunning itself? June 22, 2008  On West Wye And on Sunday, wash finished, spotted on the west leg of the wye for a nice display!! |
