Ed Chase is working on fitting the small quarter round strips (which we made) to retain the glass on a new set of windows for the IC 9792 caboose. Note the stack of completed windows on the press behind him.
Henry Vincent takes advantage of the nice weather INSIDE the shop to continue the work on a new door for the Milwaukee Electric L 4 locomotive.
Wayne Baksic made a special trip down from Wisconsin on a Wednesday to deliver material and start the steel fabrication of the permanent guard for the Fay molder.
Ed Chase pitches in cutting one inch angle to length and then crafting notches to fit together a very professional looking (we hope) guard cage, one that will match the materials and design of those cages we have left from the TM.
Work has begun in earnest to create two new replacement baggage doors for the ME 28. Materials have been secured and here is a shot of Victor Humphreys demonstrating the use of the table mounted router, to start the milling and shaping process for the various pieces.
