Sunday, January 16. 2011Wood Shop Update - January 15, 2011I want to thank those who have taken the time to send reports and photos during the period I am laid up. Here are some views from the camera of Tim Peters.  A Ripping Good Time Tim Peters, with help from Buzz Morisette, is ripping new poplar planks for new tack molding for our CTA 4000 cars. Earlier this week he ran test pieces through our FAY molder so now is the time to prepare all the stock for the 'production' run.  Fun at the Saw This piece is leaving the saw. I thought we were supposed to be having fun, working at IRM. From Tim's expression, I hope this was not too painful!!  More Saddles Randall Hicks finished making a set of new saddles for the Chicago Aurora & Elgin 319, and Brother Chris Buck was drafted to start the priming and painting phase. |

7009 number boards look good. Is there a way to turn a locomotive around at IRM? In case you ever had a mind to connect 7009 and 6847?
