Here is the latest news with our huge, yes huge, barn construction. This puppy is really big from any angle! The pictures do not give you the entire perspective. You have to see it for yourself. Come out and visit us! The below shot was taken about 5pm. The crew sure works fast. All these pictures and more can be viewed in the members section in Bob Kutella's picture book in my subalbum.
Remember, the next barn....15 can be started with your donation!

As they say we are raising the roof. The result of Fridays installation. By this time next week I would think the entire roof will be constructed and the sides will be to be installed. Will see if I am right. You might not be able to see them but the sides and roof are temporarily tied together with chain so that the barn does not shift in the strong wind
Remember to send or Email your next donation to the barn 15 fund!

Wednesday, the barn really started to look like we mean business! It sure is impressive to see all the trusses being installed! There have been a few posts on RYPN.org referring to this construction. From my vantage point no other non profit rr museum has ever built two 512x62 barns at once! This is a premiere event and all you readers should take a drive to Irm and view this construction. It truly is magnificence construction site!
By the time you read this blog on Friday August 21, 2015 all trusses and bracing will have been installed on the roof and the steel skin of the barn should be in the process of being secured to the wood frame!
I will not be at Irm until this Saturday [Day Out With Thomas] so no updated from me until then. Maybe Randy Hicks might update us on the progress. Check his site for news.
