Work is progressing so fast that I will now post the pictures with a caption only. Not much of an explanation is needed because much of the work we are accomplishing is repetitive.
Not much of an explanation is needed because much of the work we are accomplishing is somewhat repetitive. I would like to ask for more donations to keep the project advancing. One thing we need is brass oval head, slotted wood screws. Number 10's and 12's, which are somewhat big, are greatly needed for our upholstering project.
If you have any quanlities for these types please give them to myself or John Mckelvey in the
woodshop. Thanks Roger
We started off the day by moving the bar out of the 2612. First, we moved all the tools and paint supplies to the other end of the car then we the moved the bar outside on the platform. The final step was when we "airmailed" it off the east platform. It was sort of fun!! This is June 4th activities.
Results of June 5th
Even more prep work ahead!!
Gary and I increased our volunteer hours to five days a week and it sure shows by our progress.
Sunday is June 1st, 2014,
and the start of more painting and seat assembly. School is out soon so we hope to have a few young volunteers to assist us. The next blog will show even more results and its metamorphosis into a Rock Island coach. Thanks Roger
