We have previously noted that $4000 has been pledged to match your donations, but now for the GOOD NEWS! Another generous donor has come forward with matching money, so now the total is $8000 in matching funds for you to take advantage of.  Wheel and Axle Here is a view of a complete wheel and axle set, still in the St. Louis Car Co. EIB design truck.  Wheel Face  Wheel Back I do not believe these images have been published before and they illustrate the existing wheels in more detail. The plan is to have the worn compromise wheel profiles renewed so that the two cars can reliably and safely operate on our railroad. Please send in a donation, large or small, and it will be matched, effectively doubling the total as we gather funds for the outside contracted work.  972 Wouldn't it be nice to be sitting inside the TM 972, riding these newly upholstered and restored seats, with the window open and the fresh air blowing in?
